  Faculty Biography

 

Danielle Blea

 

Danielle is currently the behavioural science faculty member at the Smoky Hill Family Residency Program in Salina, KS. She completed a MS degree in Family Therapy at Friends University. She began her professional career by providing mental health services in the areas of crisis, outpatient, and addiction services to individuals, couples, and families.

Her professional interests are co-occurring disorders, couple/family therapy, and high risk patient care. She assists in developing and teaching the Behavioral Medicine curriculum. She supports and evaluates residents in the advancement of their mental health knowledge and clinical interviewing skills. In addition to providing direct patient care Danielle oversees the behavioral health integration at the clinic.

She is passionate about integrated health care, holistic options for disease/illness management, and improving systems to aid patients. During her down time she can typically be found with a book on a patio or traveling to a new destination.
