Lewis Hutfles, DO
Dr. Lewis Hutfles, Jr., DO, is a native of Topeka, KS. His education has taken him to complete degrees at University of Missouri (KC) along with his master’s and medical schooling at Kansas City University. He has a special interest in psychiatry, surgery, and rural medicine.
When he’s not on the job, Dr. Hutfles enjoys being with his family and living out his faith. His hidden talent – long jump! Dr. Hutfles is happily married to Ashley, an elementary school art teacher. They have an eight-year-old son who they love to enjoy sushi with and cheering on the Chiefs and Royals!
Garrett Koehn, MD
Garrett Koehn, MD, is a native of Wichita, KS. Before coming to SHFMRP, he completed an undergraduate degree in Biochemistry at Harding University in Seary, AR, and his MD at the University of Kansas School of Medicine in Wichita. His favorite thing about being a family medicine physician is the variety of care.
In his spare time, Dr. Koehn enjoys enjoys time with family, reading, bird watching, hunting, drumming, and watching his favorite teams, the KC Chiefs and Oklahoma Sooners.
Sara Ohadi-Hamadani, MD
Dr. Sara Ohadi-Hamadani is a native Kansan, growing up in Wichita. Her education began with Bachelor’s degrees in both Political Science and Spanish at Wellesley College in Massachusetts – before changing careers after working for 4 years in campaign research for labor unions and going back to school for her Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences at the University of Maryland. She completed medical school at the University of Kansas School of Medicine – Kansas City.
Dr. Ohadi Hamadani loves the variety that being a family physician allows. She has a passion for preventative care and caring for patients with chronic conditions. An inspiration for her becoming a physician is heritage as part-Osage and a member of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation on her mother's side - as well as being the child of an Iranian immigrant on her father's side.
When she’s not in clinic, Dr. Ohadi-Hamadani and her husband are probably cuddling up and playing with their four rescue cats. They also love traveling the world together. On a recent trip, she was able to see clinic care at an Urgent Clinic hospital in Romania! Dr. Ohadi-Hamadani is also an avid roller derby player and coach – even representing Team Kansas in a Roller Derby tournament!
Thierry Tchiengue, MD
Dr. Thierry T. Tchiengue is from Bangangte, Cameroon. Prior to joining the Smoky Hill Family Medicine Residency team, his education began at the University of Bamako in Mali. His special interests include comprehensive healthcare, with an emphasis on preventative care while managing acute and chronic medical conditions.
In his spare time, Dr. Tchiengue enjoys community empowerment work, personal finance education, gardening, and any sport, but soccer in particular!
